VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) — Valdosta police (VPD) said a man wanted out of Miami for attempted murder was captured in the city after being spotted on Wednesday, March 4, morning.
Detectives received a tip that 37-year-old Daniel Valencia was in the area of the 700 block of North Charlton Street, VPD said. Around 10:45 a.m., investigators reportedly saw him walking along the roadway.

Investigators said they confirmed with Miami-Dade authorities that Valencia had numerous active warrants, including seven counts of aggravated assault and first-degree arson.
Valencia was detained without incident and taken to the Lowndes County Jail. He also faces a fugitive from justice charge, officials said.
