UPDATE: 03/21/26- 9:19 am: According to Dougherty County Coroner Michael Fowler, authorities recovered the body of Jacayden McCray early Saturday morning from a pond. McCray is suspected to have drowned, the coroner said. WALB is working to learn more and will update this story as we gather additional details.

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - According to a Facebook post from the Albany Police Department (APD), the APD is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a critical missing juvenile, Jacayden McCray, who is 12 years old.

Officials say Jacayden was last seen in the 2600 block of Whispering Pines Rd. He was wearing gray pants and a tie-dye shirt.
Jacayden has autism and is nonverbal, which may make it difficult for him to communicate with others, officials say.
If anyone has information regarding his whereabouts, contact the Albany Police Department at 229-431-2100, submit a tip anonymously through the APD App, or contact Crime Stoppers at 229-436-TIPS.
