CAIRO, Ga. (WCTV) - A one-month investigation in Cairo left two people behind bars, according to the Cairo Police Department.
Twenty-year-old Christian Santiz and 25-year-old Daniel Lopez were taken into custody without incident Thursday, CPD wrote in a press release Monday.
The two face charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, trafficking cocaine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, according to police.
Their arrests come after CPD said officers executed a search warrant Thursday at a home in the 200 block of 17th Avenue NW.

During the search, authorities recovered marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, four firearms, multiple THC vape pens and more, according to the press release.
Santiz and Lopez were taken into custody shortly after and transported to the Grady County Jail, where police say they are being held without bond.
This is an ongoing investigation.
