TURNER COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - A pursuit by the Turner County Sheriff’s Office leads to the arrest of the offender.

On Tuesday, Nov. 12 a sergeant with the Turner County Sheriff’s Office attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on GA-401.

The vehicle exited the interstate maintaining the high rate of speed. They sped through multiple residential areas resulting in a single vehicle wreck.

The driver fled on foot and was apprehended several hours later.

Turner County Sheriff’s Office thanks the public for their calls reporting trespassing. They say,” it assisted in the apprehension of the offender”.
