SUMTER COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - Emergency crews are on the scene of a traffic accident with injuries along Highway 49 South, just before Arch Helms Road.

According to officials, traffic heading north on Highway 49 is being detoured down Arch Helms Road, while southbound traffic is being rerouted through Albany Annex. Drivers are urged to use caution when traveling in the area and to expect delays as crews work to clear the scene.
