THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WALB) - The city of Thomasville Public Works Department will remove a tree on North Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive between Cairo Road and Payne Street, according to the city.
Work is scheduled to begin March 4 at 8 a.m. and is expected to last seven hours.

What drivers should expect
North Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive between Cairo Road and Payne Street will be temporarily closed during the work. The road will be open to local traffic only, the city said.
Detour signs will be posted. Travelers in the area are encouraged to select an alternate route or prepare for potential traffic delays.
