Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - As a cold front tracked across the region, active weather returned on Thanksgiving Day. Light to moderate rain along with isolated severe storms moved east through the afternoon. Behind the front briefly drier as yet more rain moves in early on Friday. Showers taper off early afternoon as drier and much colder air filters into the region.
It’ll be the coldest air of the season so far. Expect temperatures to run about 10-15° below average. There’ll be several reinforcing shots of the colder air which keeps more winter-like conditions around into next week. Lows drop to and below freezing (AVG low 43°)while highs only top mid-upper 50s around 60° (AVG high 67°). Temperatures moderate the end of the next week.
You’ll definitely need extra warmth before heading outdoors.
