Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — Organizers of an upcoming swim lesson program are notifying parents of an important registration change ahead of classes scheduled with Water Safety Academy, LLC.
According to organizers, all participants who previously signed up for swim lessons with instructor David Milliner through Water Safety Academy will now need to complete registration through the Boys & Girls Club in order to participate in the program.
Registration will take place June 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Jefferson Street Pool, located at 1309 N. Jefferson St. Parents and guardians who previously submitted applications through Water Safety Academy, LLC may register on-site during that time.
The swim lesson program will include five weeks of instruction, with participants attending one-hour classes each day. Organizers say the program will continue to focus on water safety while providing a fun and educational experience for swimmers.
Officials acknowledge the change may create some inconvenience for families but say the transition is necessary to ensure lessons continue as scheduled and that all participants are properly enrolled.
James Irvin will have more on this developing story.
