ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Drier air filtered in behind a weak front on Thursday. As a result very little rain with isolated showers isolated showers along the boundary dry along and east of I-75. Otherwise highs topped low-mid 90s.

We’ll continue to enjoy the unseasonably dry air on the 4th of July. Your outdoor celebrations won’t be hampered by Mother Nature. Enjoy a rather tranquil day filled with sunshine and hot lwo-mid 90s although it’ll feel much hotter 100°-105°.

Other than a small shower or two you couldn’t ask for better weather for Friday evening fireworks.

Rain chances creep back over the holiday weekend but by no means a washout. Isolated showers on Saturday then scattered on Sunday as highs hold low-mid 90s.

Next week moisture increases for much wetter weather late week.

In the tropics, the NHC increased the odds to 60% for tropical development off the SE coast over the next 7 days. Something we’re watches with no concerns over the weekend.
