ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A First Alert Weather Day ended at 6 p.m. on Monday.

So far, several counties have reported damage and power outages from the severe weather that passed through.

Damage Reports

  • Colquitt County - Justin Cox, Colquitt County EMA Director, reports that, as of now, a total of three homes were damaged. Two of these homes were severely damaged but were unoccupied at the time. The third home sustained minor damage, and the occupant was not injured. Additionally, two barns were destroyed. All damage was located on Highway 207, south of Hamilton School and Lower Meigs Road. Additionally, one irrigation pivot system was flipped over in the same area. In other parts of the county, trees and powerlines have been reported down and broken. Crews are working to restore power and clear the roads.

  • Early County - A confirmed tornado touched down in upper Early County, Blakely, around 7:15 a.m. in a remote area on Martin Road, near Hilton, Ga. The tornado touched down twice, three miles apart.
  • Grady County - According to Grady County Sheriff Chief Deputy Kent Harvey, there is one home completely destroyed and several other homes left with damage. All homeowners were at work and no one was injured. Trees were reported down in several areas across the county.
