Description
ENIGMA, Ga. (WALB) – The City of Enigma has a new City Council member. Rick Maluda has been elected to the Post 4 seat after defeating Jimmy Bennett in a closely contested runoff election.
Maluda secured a victory with 71 votes to Bennett’s 65, a margin of just six votes.
The April 15 runoff followed a special election held on March 18, where no candidate received a majority, prompting the head-to-head contest.
Maluda will soon take on the responsibilities of representing the residents of Post 4 on the Enigma City Council.
