Description
COFFEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - A Coffee County family is now displaced after they felt their trailer lift up from the ground during severe storms on Sunday, May 11.
Vonda McCray and her family were getting ready for bed when they noticed things moving outside — and then inside their home.
McCray said she was watching TV when she noticed the wind blowing intensely. Just moments later, she said, “the whole trailer just flew.”
The Coffee County Emergency Management Agency said damage likely came from a straight-line wind event. It wasn’t until the family stepped outside that they could fully grasp the damage left behind.
