AMERICUS, Ga. (WALB) - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested and charged a second man in connection with the fatal shooting in Americus.
On Thursday afternoon, GBI agents arrested Ny’Tavion Smith, 20, on charges of aggravated assault and felony murder in connection to the death of 5-year-old Peyton Roberts.
The shooting occurred on Saturday, Feb. 8, at Eastview Apartments in Americus.
WALB previously reported that on Monday, the GBI announced the arrest of Ricky Martin,19, who is facing the following charges:

- One count of felony murder
- One count of aggravated assault
- One count of aggravated battery
Both men are being held at the Sumter County Jail.
The investigation remains active. Anyone with additional information is urged to contact the GBI or the Americus Police Department
