Description

LUDOWICI, Ga. (WTOC) - A special shoutout to a very young reader in Ludowici.

Meet Ronin Scott! He’s only 4-years-old and has read over 500 books in the “1,000 Books Before Kindergarten” challenge.

Ronin says he likes adventure pointing out a book about a dragon. He has a big imagination and said, “It’s because the world is so big, I wish I could go into space.”

Isabelle Scott says her son loves the library and she loves the librarian and staff.

“My son is so excited every time I tell him we’re coming to Miss Tammy’s library because Miss Tammy does so much for these kids and they learn so much.” Said Scott. " We’ve done rock labs, we’ve done color labs, we’ve done Legos; we’ve done it all here. It’s just so incredibly important for kids’ creativity and expanding in whatever they’re interested in at that time.”

Our Meteorologist Jamie Ertle met Ronin and many other young readers at The Long County Library’s annual summer outdoor story time.

Jamie read “The Wonder of Thunder” and then gave the children a chance to forecast from the Storm Chaser!
