CORDELE, Ga. (WALB) - The Cordele Police Department (CPD) released a Facebook video regarding missing 19-year-old Nyeasha Pickens.

Cordele Police Chief Jalon Heard said a search was conducted from Sunday night into Monday morning in a large wooded area near Bethel Cemetery off of Joe Wright Drive following a tip.

The Crisp County Sheriff’s Office, the Turner County Sheriff’s Office, the Georgia State Patrol, the Crisp County Fire Department, and the Cordele Fire Department assisted the police department in the search.

Chief Heard said that nothing has been found at this moment.

“We understand the emotional toll that this case is having on the community, and we want to assure everyone that law enforcement remains committed and actively engaged in following every lead,” said Chief Heard. “Every piece of information, no matter how small, is being investigated with urgency and care.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the GBI tip line at 1 (800) 597-8477 or use the “See Something, Send Something” app with the keywords “Nyeasha” or “Cordele Missing Person”.
