GEORGIA (WALB) - A nationwide recall is in effect for peanut butter products from Ventura Foods LLC, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The recall comes after Ventura Foods voluntarily initiated it in April of 2025 due to “blue pieces in a filter” that could be found in 22,000 single-serve products.

The FDA has labeled this recall as a “Class II” recall.

“in a situation in which use of, or exposure to, a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.”

Below are the product descriptions from the FDA for each of the products that have been recalled:

Georgia, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and North Carolina are just four of the 40 states affected by this recall.
