DOUGLAS, Ga. (WALB) - The Douglas Police Department released a statement on Facebook seeking the public’s assistance regarding an Entering Auto incident that occurred on Dec. 12, 2025, in the 1700 block of S. Peterson Ave.
A male suspect has been observed checking vehicle doors to see if they are unlocked. Once he notices they are unlocked, he goes through them. Officials say the suspect has been observed returning to this area.
The police department is asking that residents in the area “remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity”.
Officials say that you should not approach or confront the suspect. Call law enforcement immediately.
Remember to lock your vehicles every night, even when parked at home, and do not leave valuables inside your car. Removing temptations and securing vehicles is one of the most effective ways to prevent entering auto incidents.
If you recognize this individual or observe someone matching this description walking around the area, contact the Douglas Police Department at 912-382-2222, the non-emergency number at 912-384-7675 or email Inv. Raulerson at [email protected].
