WASHINGTON (WJLA) — Seven people were hospitalized as D.C. Police investigated several stabbing reports in Northeast on Thursday afternoon that shut down several roads.
D.C. police confirmed several people were stabbed near Montello Avenue and Simms Place, Northeast, sometime before 3:45 p.m.

At around 4:15 p.m., police said one person was taken into custody.
Seven people were taken to the hospital for their injuries, according to D.C. Fire and EMS officials.
Police have closed the following roads as of 3:50 p.m.
- Montello Avenue between Mt. Olivet Road and Holbrook Terrace NE
- West Virginia Avenue between Mt. Olivet Road and Holbrook Terrace NE
D.C. Fire and EMS crews are on the scene, and road closures are likely to change, officials said.
