COFFEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - Family and friends of a Coffee County man, who died after being beaten at a wedding in 2020, say the final suspect in his death has been acquitted on all charges.
Vann brown’s best friend, Willis Grant Royal, says that Jeffery Harper was acquitted of murder charges today, April 3.
His trial was held in Bulloch County after Harper’s lawyers raised concerns about a fair and impartial jury.
Two other men charged in the case—Jason and Justin Anderson— have already been tried.
Jason was convicted, while Justin was acquitted.
WALB reported that jury selection in Harper’s case started Monday.
