VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - Two people were displaced following a house fire in Valdosta.
At around 2:49 p.m. on April 2, Valdosta Fire (VFD) responded to a structure fire at a single-story home in the 100 block of St. Augustine Road.
The first unit arrived on the scene within three minutes to find smoke and flames coming from the home.
A total of 22 fire personnel were able to bring the fire under control and conducted a thorough search. No one was inside the home when it caught fire, VFD said.
As a result of the fire, two occupants were displaced and are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was accidental in nature, according to the release.
