A Silver Alert has been issued for a Tallahassee man who was last seen Sunday in Jefferson County, according to the Leon County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO).

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) announced on its missing person report that 74-year-old Carey Hunter had last been seen in the area of the 11000 block of Pennewaw Trace in Tallahassee and could have been “traveling northbound through Jefferson County.”

However, LCSO confirmed to WCTV Monday afternoon that a 2009 white Dodge Ram 1500 with Florida tag #Y15UGE, which the FDLE believes Hunter is traveling in, was last seen Sunday night in Jefferson County.

He stands five feet 10 inches tall and weighs 230 pounds, according to FDLE. The Tallahassee man was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts.

Silver Alerts are issued for “missing persons suffering from an irreversible deterioration of intellectual faculties,”according to FDLE’s website.
