MACON, Ga. (WGXA) — Is it hot in here - or is it because the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department has unveiled its 2026 Middle Georgia Firefighter Calendar?

The official unveiling took place at Luther Williams Field on Monday, with calendars available for purchase in person and online.

The 2026 calendar, created in partnership with Macon's own Legends Gym, features 36 firefighters selected from 70 applicants.

A portion of the proceeds from calendar sales will benefit the Navicent Health Foundation, supporting the local Atrium Health Levine Children's Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital.

Fire Chief Shane Edwards expressed pride in the department's involvement.

"We do have the best of the best in Macon-Bibb County. When it comes to participating in community events or anything that our firefighters can do, just to give back to our community, they always step up," said Edwards.
