AMERICUS, Ga. (WALB) - A man is now in the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office custody following alleged threats he made against schools and law enforcement.
On Tuesday, Sept. 17, the sheriff’s office says Marquis Jamil McCoy, 34, made threats against local schools, officers and other individuals.
He was later arrested and charged with terroristic threats, probation violation and failure to appear.
McCoy is currently in the Sumter County Jail.
