LEESBURG, Ga. (WALB) - Another social media threat was made to Lee County schools.
WALB spoke with Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Colonel Chris Owens who said that there is no credible threat to Lee County Schools.
In response, all local resources have responded to the schools, and parents have been notified.
Lee County Fire and EMS services are on campus patrolling the parking lots at this time.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is also on campus assisting school resource officers.
WALB has reached out to the Lee County School System and is working to learn more. We will keep you updated.
