ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A driver in a hit-and-run is evading law enforcement on foot after a crash on Liberty Expressway on the afternoon of July 2, according to the Albany Police Department (APD).

Police said the driver was in a Toyota Avalon traveling eastbound on the expressway. The Avalon crossed through the median and hit a white Ford F-150.

After the crash, APD said the Avalon driver got out of the vehicle and took off running.

The driver of the F-150 was taken to the hospital, according to police, who said they do not know how severe the driver’s injuries may be.

The crash was between the Blaylock and Jefferson Street exits.
