CAMILLA, Ga. (WALB) - The Georgia Fire Marshal’s Office is now investigating a Monday afternoon fire inside a restaurant in Camilla.
Fire Chief Sullivan told WALB that they received a call at around 12:30 p.m. about a fire inside Kebo’s BBQ & More.
No one was inside at the time of the fire.Crews were able to put out the fire, but the inside of the restaurant was destroyed.

Kebo’s BBQ & More posted the following statement to Facebook regarding the fire:
“As most of you have heard, we had a fire at the restaurant today. Thankfully we were closed and no one was injured. Please keep Regina and Kebo in your prayers as they process the damage and figure out the next steps. Please also keep our staff members in your prayers, we currently have 34 employees and this greatly affects them as well.”
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Georgia Fire Marshal’s Office.
Chief Sullivan said arson is not suspected. It looks to be some type of mechanical fire.
