PELHAM, Ga. (WALB) — [UPDATE: Jan. 19, 11:30 a.m.] The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has identified the two victims in a double homicide that occurred Sunday, Jan. 18.

According to the GBI, Desmond Daniels, 24 and Tobias McIntyre, 33, were found dead at the scene in different locations but within close proximity to each other.

Officials believe the two were initially together in a vehicle when the incident occurred.

The GBI said both bodies will be sent to the crime lab, where autopsies will be performed.

[ORIGINAL ARTICLE] Officials have confirmed that a double homicide investigation is underway in Pelham.

According to the Pelham Police, the shooting happened around 2 p.m. off of Castleberry Road.

A source close to the investigation tells WALB that they heard several gunshots.
