Plan A Health’s mobile care clinic is a tangible solution for women who may need consistent health visits and struggle with expensive doctor bills and distant drives to facilities.

Healthcare on Wheels

The mobile clinic provides a lengthy list of completely free services: primary and prenatal care, blood pressure and blood sugar screenings, mammogram referrals, cervical cancer screenings, pap smears, family planning and birth control, HIV/STD testing, and PrEP/PEP.

Organization leaders say no insurance is required and no appointments are needed when using Plan A. The organization also provides free health-related items and offers telehealth appointments for those who can’t visit the mobile clinic in person.

Filling the Gap

The mobile clinic comes as rural healthcare access continues to decline across Georgia. For women in these communities, losing local healthcare access can mean the difference between getting preventive care and going without.

Jaselyn Ramirez-Riden, Community Health and Outreach worker for Plan A Health, is actively seeking more Southwest Georgia communities to serve.
