SOUTH GEORGIA, (WALB) - Sterling Center Women’s Health is offering free mammograms for South Ga. residents, for the month of October.

The mammogram screenings will be held Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome.

To be eligible for a free screening, you must meet the following:

• Ages 40 and older
• Uninsured
• Not pregnant
• Not having any breast issues
• Have not had a screening in the last 12 months
• Must live in one of the listed counties: Berrien, Brooks, Cook, Colquitt, Crisp, Dougherty, Early, Grady, Lee, Lowndes, Mitchell, Thomas, Tift, Turner, or Worth.

For patients with insurance, your screening will be billed to your insurance provider.
