ADEL, Ga. (WALB) - It was anything but a typical Monday morning for residents of Adel when an unexpected visitor was spotted roaming within city limits, an alligator!

Thanks to the swift action of Adel Animal Control and local law enforcement, the situation was quickly and safely brought under control.

Two dedicated Animal Control Officers, working alongside Detective Marlette, responded promptly to the scene. Using their training, teamwork, and calm under pressure, the team successfully captured the alligator without injury to the animal or nearby residents.

The gator was safely relocated to a more suitable habitat, far from neighborhoods and roadways.

Kudos to the team for going above and beyond to keep Adel safe, one gator at a time!
