Description
DOOLY COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - A five vehicle accident injured three people and shutdown the northbound lanes on Interstate 75.
Around noon on Thursday, April 17, troopers with the Georgia State Patrol (GSP) responded to a five vehicle accident on I-75 near mile marker 117 in Dooly County.
The crash involved two tractor trailers and three passenger vehicles.
According to GSP, an international tractor trailer was traveling north on I-75 in the outside lane when it hit a Volkswagen pulling a camper in the rear. After hitting the Volkswagen and camper, GSP says the tractor trailer traveled across the middle lane and to the inside lane where it struck a Honda CRV and a Toyota Highlander. Then the tractor trailer traveled back into the middle lane where it hit another tractor trailer.
Three people suffered non-life-threatening injures and were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
GSP is investigating, and we will update you when more information has been released.
