CRISP COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - A high-speed chase on Interstate 75 ended in a crash and multiple arrests after deputies say drugs concealed in snack packaging were thrown from a fleeing vehicle.
According to the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), the incident began April 30 when a deputy attempted to stop a vehicle traveling 84 miles per hour on I-75. When the deputy approached the driver, the vehicle sped off, leading authorities on a dangerous pursuit.

Officials say the driver exited at Exit 101, ran a red light at 16th Avenue, and re-entered the interstate, driving recklessly across multiple lanes and along the emergency shoulder. During the chase, a passenger reportedly threw a bag from the vehicle.
Deputies later recovered the bag, which contained marijuana packaged to resemble snack items, along with other related materials.
Stop sticks were deployed but avoided, and one deputy sustained minor injuries during the attempt. The pursuit came to an end when the fleeing vehicle struck a red SUV.
Emergency crews responded to the scene. One person involved in the crash was transported to the hospital with a shoulder injury, while others were treated on scene for non-life-threatening injuries.

A search of the suspect vehicle uncovered multiple identification cards, W-2 forms, and debit cards belonging to several individuals, raising concerns of identity fraud.
Authorities arrested 23-year-old Jabria Wright of Atlanta, who was driving the vehicle. She faces charges including fleeing or attempting to elude police, DUI, six counts of financial identity fraud, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and multiple traffic violations.
A passenger, 24-year-old Saquario Davis, also of Atlanta, was taken into custody and charged with six counts of financial identity fraud, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and abandonment of dangerous drugs.
The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) is investigating the crash, while the Arabi Police Department assisted with traffic control.
