Description
AMERICUS, Ga. (WALB) - School is out in Americus, and Americus Police Department (APD) is reminding families that juvenile curfew hours are now in effect.
According to APD, teens under the age of 18 must be off the streets by 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and by midnight on Friday and Saturday.

Officials say juveniles are not allowed in public places during curfew hours unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Police say the curfew is designed to help keep kids safe during the summer months and encourage responsible decision-making.
Residents are also urged to report suspicious activity to authorities.
