Description

VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) — Residents of Valdosta may receive an additional utility bill this billing period as the city works to correct a previous billing interruption, officials said.

The additional bill will reportedly reflect zero water usage and will not indicate additional consumption. The city said this is for administrative purposes only.

Officials cited a previous billing interruption as the need for a correction. They said some customers did not receive a bill for one or more months. This adjustment is meant to bring those accounts up to date, according to a press release.

The city also said that if your bill indicates a due date of approximately two weeks from the billing date, residents should disregard that printed due date, as all customers are provided a full 30 days to submit payment. The city said due dates that do not reflect a full 30 days are a misprint. Officials said residents will not be subject to late fees during this adjustment period.

If you have questions, you can contact the city’s office at 229-259-3556.
