THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) - The City of Thomasville is sending crews north to help with winter storm recovery efforts, according to a Saturday social post.
Six men on Thomasville’s electric team are headed to North Georgia this weekend to assist Marietta Power as North Georgia faces extreme winter weather.
More news out of South Georgia:
As of Sunday morning, many Georgians are without power.
“Mutual Aid agreements play a vital role in recovery efforts following extreme weather events,” the city of Thomasville said.
The city said they have received help from agencies across the region and now they can return the favor.
