ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The City of Albany is breaking ground today on the long-anticipated Henderson Gym revitalization project.
The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, at 701 Willard Avenue in Albany.

City officials approved the $8.5 million revitalization project back in October. Once completed, the project will feature a state-of-the-art gym, an outdoor connected basketball court, a multi-purpose field, a modern playground, and a community garden.
City leaders say the project is designed to enhance recreational opportunities and provide a revitalized community space for residents.
