Description
LEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - What began as a routine traffic stop for a stop sign violation on the morning of March 25 escalated into a dangerous vehicle pursuit through multiple Lee County neighborhoods, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO). The agency posted video of the pursuit to social media on Monday, April 6.
Deputies said the driver of a silver Chevrolet Malibu refused to stop, leading them through several areas while running multiple stop signs, failing to maintain a lane and driving into oncoming traffic.
