MACON, Ga. (WGXA) — A 48-year-old man was shot near the Walmart Supercenter on Harrison Road on Monday afternoon.

The Bibb County Sheriff's office says the call came in around 12:38 p.m. and deputies arrived to find a man with a gunshot wound at a bus stop near the grocery store.

NEW TODAY | Woman dies in motorcycle accident in Monroe County, investigation underway

The victim was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

BSO investigators are working to determine what led up to the incident.
