ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The city of Albany is warning residents of a road closure on Jefferson Street that could affect drivers in the area.

On Sunday, March 8, crews closed both southbound lanes of Jefferson Street between Flint Avenue and Pine Avenue for repairs, according to the city.

Both lanes will remain closed until construction is complete, the city said. Detour signs will be in place while work is underway.

The city advises drivers to consider alternate routes and prepare for delays.
