QUITMAN, Ga. (WALB) – Authorities are investigating a homicide that happened early Monday morning in Quitman, on North Jefferson Street.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) confirmed to WALB that it they were requested by the Quitman Police Department (QPD) to conduct a death investigation.

At this time, officials have not released additional details as the investigation remains active and ongoing.
