ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) -A local motorcycle group, the Xtreme Ryderz, continued their 16-year tradition of delivering Thanksgiving meal boxes to families in need across Albany this holiday season.
The Xtreme Ryderz distributed boxes filled with traditional Thanksgiving items, including turkey, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie.
Wayne Bryant, public relations officer for the Xtreme Ryderz, emphasized the group’s commitment to community support.
“Everyone needs help now and again, and like I said, we just doing it for the community,” he said. “Being that it’s Thanksgiving, we always like to help our community for the ones that need food or resources, and we just do the best we can.”
Bryant shared his satisfaction in seeing the direct impact of their efforts.
“Awesome, awesome, I mean, us at the Xtreme Ryderz we do enjoy seeing the faces that we see when we get to their houses and seeing that someone is thinking about them in these hard trying times,” he stated.
Furman Crawford, an Albany resident who received assistance, expressed his gratitude.
“Blessed man, I’m thankful for these folks to come out and show us some Thanksgiving love just blessed man,” Crawford said.
The Xtreme Ryderz visited four local families, providing them with Thanksgiving meals and alleviating some holiday worries.
