ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — Albany police are investigating a deadly crash involving a bicyclist on North Westover Boulevard.

Officers were called to the 600 block around 10 p.m. Tuesday, August 18th and found a 40-year-old man dead at the scene.

The driver of a 2024 Ford Escape told police he was heading south on Westover when the bicyclist entered the roadway and was hit.

The Albany Police Department’s traffic unit is handling the investigation into what led up to the collision.
