Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A few isolated to scattered showers and storms are possible to start the Memorial Day holiday for a few areas west of I-75. However, dry time returns briefly before afternoon and evening showers and storms arrive. Any late-day showers and storms could contain a severe component with damaging winds and large hail. Today’s highs will be hot and humid in the low to mid-90s. Tonight, showers and storms end early with lows falling into the low 70s under partly cloudy skies.
An unsettled weather pattern will persist throughout the week. Tuesday starts a train of disturbances that will bring daily showers and storms through Friday. Strong to severe storms with damaging winds and hail cannot be ruled out, but the tornado threat is low at this time. Highs remain warm and humid in the 90s. A cold front arrives on Friday, decreasing rain chances for the weekend as highs begin to decline into the 80s with lows in the 60s.
