DOUGHERTY COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) — A 63-year-old pilot of a paramotor died following a crash in Dougherty County on Monday, July 6, at about 7:30 a.m. Emergency responders are reportedly investigating the scene.
Dougherty County officials identified the man as Kenneth Raymond Bakkus, 63. He was reportedly found in the front yard of a residence in the 1800 block of Cordele Road, the planned landing area.

Bakkus was an experienced paramotor pilot, officials said. He was a resident of Florida.
The exact cause of the crash is under investigation, Dougherty County officials said. The aircraft is reportedly being inspected.
