WEDNESDAY PM: Heat indices for most of South Georgia already at or above the 100 mark by lunch time. Some already have the capability to exceed 105. All of us are seeing partly cloudy skies and plenty of sun but some of us may see a brief shower or thunderstorm leading up to this evening. Afternoon highs top off in the low to mid 90s.

THURSDAY: Warm and muggy start in the middle 70s. Heat indices will rise near 105 and rain chances will stay scarce. Mid 90s will stay as the afternoon high.

FRIDAY: Mid 70s to start off the morning and afternoon highs will top off near 97. Isolated showers and storms in the afternoon are possible. Heat indices will be ranging 100-103.

WEEKEND: Warm and muggy mornings stick around with mid 90s as the afternoon highs. Isolated afternoon thunderstorms turn scattered into Sunday. Heat indices will remain 100-103.

NEXT WEEK: Temperatures drop a few degrees below average in the upper 80s to low 90s. Rain chances become more widespread.
