LEESBURG, Ga. (WALB) — Several downtown streets will close in phases this Friday, July 10, ahead of the Red, White, and Two-Fifty celebration, city officials said.

What drivers should know

Drivers are urged to plan, expect delays, and follow posted detours around downtown Leesburg on Friday afternoon and evening. Those attending the Red, White, and Two-Fifty celebration should allow extra time to park and walk to the event.

City officials said the closures are temporary and intended to keep pedestrians safe during the community event. Detours will be clearly marked.
