The NWS previously said tornadoes touched down in Fayette, Coweta and Henry counties in the metro Atlanta area, along with a tornado in Houston County and another tornado that moved through Houston, Peach and Bibb counties.
The tornadoes in Coweta and Fayette counties were measured as EF-0 tornadoes, while the one in Henry County came in as an EF-1.
The NWS said the Coweta County tornado started in east Newnan around 12:32 p.m. and ended around Thomas Crossroads about seven minutes later. The NWS says the tornado knocked down large branches and trees along Shenandoah Boulevard, Sullivan Road and Lora Smith Road. It reached its peak intensity as it moved through the Legacy Estates subdivision, where the report says multiple trees were snapped.

At 12:54 p.m., Fayette County saw a brief tornado land in south Fayetteville for about a minute around Williamsburg Way — just east of Glynn Street/GA-85. It downed a few trees and limbs but did not damage any buildings.

NWS says the EF-1 tornado in Henry County landed around the Eagles Landing neighborhood at about 1:08 p.m. Three large trees were reported down near the intersection of I-75 and Jodeco Road before the funnel crossed the interstate and caused a tree to crash into a home near the intersection of Highland Drive and Meadowbrook Drive.
The tornado continued going northeast through the Eagles Landing neighborhood. After crossing Highway 42, it reached its height when it traveled along Brannan Road, where emergency management reported about 40 trees down. The tornado weakened before crossing Highway 155 and lifted near Knight Cemetery around 1:16 p.m.

The NWS said two other tornadoes — one that traveled through Peach, Houston and Bibb counties, and another in Houston — were both EF-0. The tornado that traveled across three counties lasted for about nine minutes, where it uprooted a few pecan trees and downed others.
The lone Houston County tornado lasted around six minutes. The NWS says hundreds of trees fell on multiple cars and homes, some of which trapped a few people. No injuries were reported, however.
