VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - Four people were displaced after house fire on Ponderosa Drive in Albany on Wednesday, Dec. 3.
Valdosta Fire units were called to the scene at around 2:33 p.m. Upon arrived, there was visible smoke coming from the home, VFD said.
The fire was quickly brought under control.
While no one was inside the home at the time, four people were displaced and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
The Valdosta Police Department and South Georgia Heath EMS assisted with on-scene operations.
VFD said the cause of the fire was determined to be a space heater located too closely to furniture.
