Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Two additional arrests were made in an aggravated assault on Chippington Court in Albany.
According to Albany Police (APD), officers went to the 600 block of Chippington Court on April 14 to reports of exchanging firearms at that location.
When officers arrived, they learned that the incident was connected to an April 3 aggravated assault in the 700 block of Shadowlawn Drive. Multiple vehicles and a residence in the 600 block of Chippington Court were hit by bullets during this incident. No injuries were reported.
Nicholas Nix, 18, was taken into custody near the incident location.

The other shooter, identified as Major Bell, 36, fled the scene.
Police say a description of the vehicle that Bell used to flee the scene was obtained to locate him. The vehicle was later located at Bell’s girlfriend’s residence. She was identified as 33-year-old Teresa Cole.
After further investigation, it was determined that Bell contacted Cole and told her that he and her vehicle were involved in a shootout. Bell instructed Cole to meet him at the East Albany Walmart, so that they could exchange vehicles following the shooting, according to police.
Cole and Bell were both charged with aggravated assault - firearm.
Cole was also charged with hindering the apprehension of a criminal and tampering with evidence.
More charges are pending for both.
Police say Nix was previously arrested on April 3, 2025, for an active simple battery warrant during the shooting in the 700 block of Shadowlawn Drive incident. Additional charges are pending from this incident.
