MACON, Ga. (WGXA) — A 16-year-old boy is dead after a Sunday night shooting in Macon.

It happened just before midnight at a home on the 5000 block of Soldad Court, near Mercer University Drive and Log Cabin Drive.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, the 16-year-old was unconscious in the driveway with a gunshot wound. He was later pronounced dead on the scene.

His family has been notified, but his identity has not been made public.

Investigators are working to find out what led to the shooting.
